Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8-10 fresh purple passion fruits
  • 1/4 cup of raw honey
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper optional

Instructions

  • Begin by cutting the passion fruits in half and scooping out the pulp.
  • Strain the pulp using a mesh colander to extract the juice. Set the juice aside for making a summer drink later.
  • Add honey and cayenne pepper to the remaining pulp and stir until well combined. Using a whisk can be helpful for this step.
  • Spread the mixture evenly onto a parchment paper or silicone mat.
  • Dehydrate the spread mixture for approximately 10 hours, or until it reaches your preferred level of crunchiness. Note that the exact time may vary depending on your dehydrator.
  • Once the mixture is dehydrated, allow it to cool before cutting it into strips or your desired shape.

Notes

- Store the Crisplets in the fridge if you want them to stay crunchy and tender. They can also be stored at room temperature, but they may get a bit sticky.
