Ginger Honey Passion Fruit Whisky Sour from Marzi's Garden

This Ginger Honey Passion Fruit Whisky Sour is a delightful cocktail that combines the sweetness of honey, the tanginess of passion fruit, and the warmth of whisky. The addition of ginger adds a spicy kick that perfectly balances the other flavors. This recipe is easy to follow and the result is a refreshing drink that's perfect for any occasion.
3" piece fresh gingerpeeled and very thinly sliced
For the Drink:
-Ice
2oz.bourbon
1/4cpassion fruit juice.3-4 small fresh passion fruit, strain the juice out, discard the seeds
2tbsp.ginger simple syrup
1egg white
1/2" gingerfor rim
Lime wedgefor garnish
Strawberry guavas from the garden for garnishingoptional
Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, water, and fresh ginger. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve honey. Boil for 6 minutes then remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Strain, using a small spatula to squeeze and press against ginger solids. Discard ginger.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add bourbon, passion fruit juice, simple syrup, and egg white. Shake until well chilled.
Rim the glass with cut ginger. Strain the drink into a glass and garnish with a lime wedge or strawberry guavas.
Notes
