Start by using a vegetable peeler to slice the zucchini into thin ribbons.
Carefully slice the corn kernels off the cob into a large bowl.
Add the zucchini ribbons, fresh basil leaves, and a handful of shredded red cabbage to the bowl. Gently toss these ingredients together.
Halve the fresh figs and, in a hot frying pan with a teaspoon of olive oil, sauté them face down for just one minute until they caramelize slightly.
Arrange the caramelized figs on top of the mixed vegetables.
Finish off the salad with a sprinkle of fresh grated turmeric.
Drizzle the salad with your preferred dressing; homemade balsamic dressing works wonderfully, but feel free to use any sauce or vinaigrette of your choice.
If fresh turmeric is not available, you can use thinly sliced carrots as a colorful garnish.
