Ginger Honey Passion Fruit Whisky Sour from Marzi’s Garden
This Ginger Honey Passion Fruit Whisky Sour is a delightful cocktail that combines the sweetness of honey, the tanginess of passion fruit, and the warmth of whisky. The addition of ginger adds a spicy kick that perfectly balances the other flavors. This recipe is easy to follow and the result is a refreshing drink that's perfect for any occasion.

For the Ginger Simple Syrup:
- 2 Tbsp Honey
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 ” piece fresh ginger peeled and very thinly sliced
For the Drink:
- -Ice
- 2 oz. bourbon
- 1/4 c passion fruit juice. 3-4 small fresh passion fruit, strain the juice out, discard the seeds
- 2 tbsp. ginger simple syrup
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 ” ginger for rim
- Lime wedge for garnish
- Strawberry guavas from the garden for garnishing optional
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, water, and fresh ginger. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve honey. Boil for 6 minutes then remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Strain, using a small spatula to squeeze and press against ginger solids. Discard ginger.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add bourbon, passion fruit juice, simple syrup, and egg white. Shake until well chilled.
- Rim the glass with cut ginger. Strain the drink into a glass and garnish with a lime wedge or strawberry guavas.
Notes
– If you don’t have fresh passion fruits, you can buy passion fruit juice on Amazon.
– For an extra touch of freshness, try adding a sprig of mint as a garnish.
– To make the process of shaking faster and more efficient, try using a spring inside the cocktail shaker.
